JVE · Low-Angle Bite Guidance Appliance
For selected low-angle presentations with increased overjet, deep bite, or anterior crossbite with excessive incisor overlap. Thickened anterior support and smooth guiding grooves assist bite opening and coordination of the anterior teeth.
Design & structure
The anterior region has no separate tooth sockets. A thickened support area provides occlusal support, while the posterior region leaves space for adjustment, together with dental seating and jaw-position guidance.
Clinical use & follow-up
For growing patients with a low-angle pattern in whom bite opening is considered appropriate by the clinician. Jaw-guidance objectives differ between increased-overjet and anterior-crossbite cases; each requires its own assessment and treatment plan.
